I’ve definitely been on a high shoe kick lately, I could dedicate a whole blog to shoes and what I love about each pair. So for now, I’ll tell you this relationship I’m having with my current favorite style- mules. They are all over the runways, your grandparents had them when they were kids and you have probably even seen them in your girlfriends closet.

I can tell you that I haven’t taken mine off since I’ve gotten them. And I also plan on wearing them all summer long!

What are you favorite slippers or mules?

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. By now you probably know that Fall and Winter are my favorite seasons. So when this sweater came in the mail from Banana Republic, it was like Christmas morning came a month early!

I could easily wear this Banana Republic sweater in every color all season long! Be sure to head to BananaRepublic.com for more Fall/Winter pieces!

What’s your favorite kind of sweater?

*Thank you Banana Republic for always adding to my fall/winter wardrobe!

The Navy Days

SHOP THE LOOK, HERE:

Blazer: Express; Shirt: Tommy Hilfiger; Jeans: Kenzo; Tie: c/o The Tie Bar; Shoes: Gucci; Pocket Square: c/o The Tie Bar; Sunglasses: Tom Ford; Watch: Apple

I wanna say about 7 months ago I was introduced to a handful of blues, shades of blue that is. As I got more familiar with these choices, and continued to add different shades of blue in my outfits. This is an updated version of a blazer-6and not your dads traditional navy blazer but a new approach to what you may see in a window or down a runway. So bacially, what I’m trying to say is that navy is something I can’t stop wearing, buying, and dreaming about! It’s just the perfect combo with everything I’ve been wearing. Even when it’s over 100 degrees during the day or at night. Navy is here to stay and I can’t to show you off.

What’s your favorite navy piece?

It’s no surprise for me to say that a suit or blazer is what I practically live and breath in. Layering has been a great way to build my wardrobe or add key staple pieces.

Summer is finally here and it is blazing hot! I keep getting asked if it’s okay to wear a tie or if it’s okay to wear a blazer/suit. Especially during the crazy Texas heat that we have. I always say YES. Even when the weather is hot, it’s always okay to wear a suit or blazer (for fashion purposes). I’ve been mixing suit separates and blazers with jeans and light fabric trousers. Play with it, mix and match it and see how many different ways you can wear something you’ve owned in you’re closet for a long time! You can thank me later.

The Essentials

Blazer: Vince Camuto; Shirt: Scotch & Soda via Asos; Jeans: Joes; Shoes: Gucci; Sunglasses: c/o Cole Haan

If I asked you to pick out 3 essential pieces from your wardrobe, what would you pick? Or would you be able to minimize them down to 3? Well, if you can’t then don’t worry because I’m here to tell you that its all right in front of yours eyes! Ever feel like you just can’t find that piece in your closet or you find yourself texting your friend to ask them what they are wearing?!

Believe it or not, this is by far the most asked question. What are the 3 key pieces that one needs in their closet? So here’s a breakdown of your 3 essential pieces:

1.) Black blazer (make sure it’s fitted or invest in a good tailor.)

2.) White shirt, clean and fresh ( Add a simple pattern if you want to be more risky.)

3.) Dark jeans ( you should always have more dark jeans thanlight jeans in your closet.)

Always stick with these essentials and go back to your basics.

Black, check. Navy, check.

So what’s next you ask? Lately I’ve found that I keep gravitating towards anything gray. I mean anything grey…like 50 shades of grey? (Kidding!) I’ve found myself waking up running over to my closet and matching everything around this blazer in particular. It’s perfect for work, dinner with you’re significant other, church, and even happy hour. You can add this blazer or any staple grey piece in your wardrobe as a key piece for Spring and all through the Summer. I know I will also be paring it a lot with black next Fall and Winter.

The third day of New York Fashion Week Mens started off extremely wet and cloudy. But that wasn’t going to stop another jam-packed day. I was dreading running around the city in this gloomy weather but Mother Nature didn’t hold me back! Today’s agenda included Torsun Swim, Asaf Gant, Greg Lauren, Nautica, and so many more! Can I just add, after seeing all of these presentations and runways I was ready to go somewhere tropical and lay on a beach! Don’t you agree? Scroll below to see my favorite pieces from the collections.

After a first successful day of New York Fashion Week Mens, I was geared up for day 2! Most of the runway shows and presentations were held at Skylight Clarkson Square which was the hub of Men’s Fashion Week. I kicked off day 2 with Public School, a show I look forward to every season. This was by far one of my favorite collections by them. Every piece would fit perfectly into my wardrobe! I also saw Timo Weiland, Robert Geller, Suit Supply, and Nick Graham. I remember when I went to my first Timo Weiland show a few seasons ago, it was filled with great patterns and tailoring- and so was this show! Scroll down below to see my favorite pieces from each collection.

Lately I’ve been observing different types of glasses. Sunglasses, eye glasses and even glasses to match my home. (Secretly I’m an interior decorator) Sunglasses add the perfect touch to complete your look. It’s the last piece I put on my face before I leave to go anywhere! I was recently introduced to Iristocracy. The eye gods definitely shined down on me and blessed me with Iristocracy. They specialize in sunglasses, prescription eye wear, and accessories! Now going in to later spring evenings you’ll need a sunny or two.

Iristocracy has thousands of eye wear for men and women. They carry brands like Phillip Lim, Ray Ban, Celine, and Ted Baker- just to name a few that I like! It’s definitely a winner for everyone! My favorite feature on Iristocracy is the “try them on” at home with their Virtual Try-On feature! “You don’t even have to leave your house!” Now who doesn’t love that?!
